About The Project

A candid look at raw, gritty strength, and vulnerability.

Nudity As An Act Of Resistance

The clarion call to myself that shook me awake. This is the umbrella term I use for all my naked series photographs. Where frustration meets symbolic acts of being raw and vulnerable with an inner strength. The series captures the tension between self-expression and societal silence. Other titles for specific series within the project include Naked Ambition, Naked Defiance, Agressively Naked, and Gentle Predations.

My Journey/Work

Photographic Artist

Creating images that question my own self-expression and societal limits.

2021 - Present

Resume of sorts

I have worked and I have travelled. The important parts are those I feel shaped my current attitudes.

These include having worked in theater under different roles at different times, from phone ticket sales to assistant stage manager. That last one for three years with STOMP in NYC, shout out to everyone connected to that show-an amazing experience.

Working as a still life photographer for a few magazines such as Time Out NY and LIFE.

Long term assisting a few photographers, starting in 1998 until fairly recently. Or recent to me anyway. Keith Lapinski being the most notable one, I learned graciousness to employees and that there are few things worth getting upset about.

My time with the US ARMY Reserves, through which I visited many US states and met so many diverse individuals and even served overseas in Desert Storm.

The Art Students League in NYC where I leaned into the freedom to express myself artisticly, and where I met my wife.

What matters is the lasting feelings that help guide me, the people that I got to spend time with, the experiences that shaped me.

Creating images that questioned my own technical abilities and the grand portraiture that is a curious mind relating to it's environs.
